Wolverine Essentials offers a timely, campus-specific solution: a peer-to-peer marketplace exclusively for the U-M community to buy and sell used items—furniture, mini-fridges, kitchenware, décor, and more—in a secure, university-verified network. By requiring umich.edu email verification, Wolverine Essentials ensures listings and transactions remain within the U-M ecosystem, fostering a sense of community while adding a layer of security and trust.

Our Story

At the end of the semester, when students at the University of Michigan leave for the summer or graduate, they will usually try to sell some of their items. Students moving out of the dorms may be looking for apartment essentials for their new living spaces for the next year and first year students are searching for items for their dorms.

Four UMich Students - Timothy, Patrick, Giselle and Sruthi noticed the need for an easy way to buy/sell items safely and created Wolverine Essentials to provide such a platform.
